Great all-rounder front or rear. Big casing. Comfortable ride. Stable handling and braking. Corners well. Can handle some mud. Light weight.

Dislikes

A bit too wide for deep/rutted mud (it tends to wander) and for climbing on gravel (spins easily). The knobs can "walk" in hard cornering on hard pack and on rocks.

Conclusion

Can only have one tire? This is it! Better as a front tire (use the Big Jim 2.25 on the rear). Big, grippy, light all-rounder for three-season use.

Best Conditions

Front:
Most trail riding - intermediate to loose surface

Rear:
Most trail riding - intermediate to loose surface
