Tire Sealant Test - Maxxis/Stans
A mid-long term test to see how tires react to liquid sealants

End of Test Period - January 15, 2006

Maxxis HardDrive 1.95 Tubeless System with Stans sealant

  • Duration of test: Five months, 15 days.
  • No visual external problems.
  • No visual signs of damage to the casing or rubber anywhere on the inside of the tire.

Stans sealant caused no visual or tactile breakdown of the rubber and/or casing of this tire during this test.

Note: This was a static test. The tire was new, never ridden, carried no load and were not flexed/compressed during the test period.

This tire was designed to be used tubeless with the Maxxis Tubeless System (TS) rim strip.
